Do you host author events and book signings?
Yes! We love celebrating romance authors and connecting them with readers through signing events, Q&As, panels, and more. If you are a publisher, publicist, or agent, please contact us via email at daydreambookstorecafellc@gmail.com
What we provide:
- A welcoming, reader-focused space with bookstore staff on hand
- Event promotion on our website and social media

- Book ordering and sales are handled by our team
How far in advance should I reach out?
The earlier the better! We typically try to schedule events 3+ months in advance to allow time for proper planning, promotion, and coordination. The earlier you reach out, the better your chances of securing a preferred date.

Requirements for Consideration
- Romance Genre Only: We are a romance-focused bookstore, so the featured book must be a romance or romance-adjacent Fiction title with strong romantic elements.
- Published Book: Your book must be published (or scheduled to be published) at the time of the event.
- Daydream's Stocked Books: Due to the high volume of inquiries, author events are typically reserved for books that are already carried/planned to be carried in our store or are currently under active consideration through our submission process. This allows us to promote the event effectively and ensures the book is a good fit for our readers and community. Our goal is to provide the space for a successful event! If your book is not currently stocked, please complete our Author Submission Form for consideration.
- Cross-Promotion: Authors must be willing to actively promote the event on their own platforms, including social media, newsletters, and/or websites. Strong cross-promotion helps ensure a successful turnout and creates more engagement with both your readers and ours.
- Distribution: Books must be available through Ingram, a traditional publisher, or via direct purchase with wholesale pricing (typically 40% off retail).
Sales & Inventory
- We handle all in-store sales.
- For direct orders, we typically take a 40/60 split (40% to the store, 60% to the author).
- We will keep track of the number of books sold, and at the end of the event, Daydream will also consider the purchase of any unsold books brought in by the author.
